Fine Regency eighteen inch terrestrial library globe john and william cary, 1817

Comprised of twenty engraved gores, the cartouche reading "Cary's new terrestrial globe : exhibiting the tracks and discoveries made by Captain Cook : also those of Captain Vancouver on the North West Coast of America and M. de la Pe´rouse on the coast of Tartary : together with every other improvement collected from various navigators and travellers to the present time... W. Cary, sold by S. & J. Duncan, Glasgow, 1817", with brass meridien ring, on stand issuing three downswept legs terminating in brass caps and castors.
