Large Regency tortoiseshell and ivory banded tea caddy circa 1810

Sarcophagus form, the rectangular hinged lid with cavetto edge opening to two tortoiseshell veneered caddies flanking central recess, over tapering body mounted with twin lion's mask handles, raised on brass ball feet.

H: 7 1/4, W: 12, D: 6 in.
