Regency penwork and brass mounted sewing casket early 19th century
Sarcophagus form, the rectangular hinged lid worked to show a scene of two maidens in an orchard with a peacock, within floral worked cavetto border, opening to a silk lined fitted interior, the sides worked to show flowers and mounted with twin ring handles, raised on flower and berry cast feet.
