Lot Description

Collection of George III enamel patch and snuff boxes late 18th century, staffordshire and elsewhere

Comprising a snuff box in the form of a gent's head, his tricorn hat as the lid, the underside painted in pink to show a house; a white and gilt enamel two-compartment snuff box, decorated in the Chinoiserie style; a three-compartment snuff box, enameled to show pastoral scenes and flowers on a yellow ground; and four enamel patch boxes, one inscribed "A present from Hungerford"; together with a George III magnifying glass, painted to show neoclassical urns on a pink ground, two enamel neoclassical plaques, and a Viennese enamel necessaire (lacking tools).
