Important Chinese mixed wood and elephant ivory table screen signed yu shuo, plaques dated 1924, 1927
The five screen panels inset with central circular ivory plaques meticulously incised to front and back with images of landscapes and mythical beasts and at top and bottom with rectangular plaques inscribed with microcalligraphy; the platform base and crest carved from dark hardwood and with intricate boxwood and colored ivory overlay.
