Pair of Chinese huanghuali folding horseshoe chairs late qing / republic period
The horseshoe back supported by a curve back splat framed in flush borders and carved with an openwork roundel above rectangular cartouche depicting qiling among cloud scrolls; soft mat seat, supported by cross stretchers ending in a footrest and two block feet; the chair fitted with gild metal etched joints.
