Lot Description

Pair of figural bronzes after Giambologna (French/Italian, 1529-1608) 19th century

Bronze, brown patina, one depicting the nude goddess Diana blowing her trumpet towards the heavens, the other depicting Mercury pointing to the sky, his right leg outstretched behind him, both supported by a wind head and raised on a cylindrical black marble plinth with bronze mounted frieze depicting putti.

H: 30 in.
