Lot Description

Dutch 'Zaanse' painted and brass wall clock late 17th/early 18th century

The white painted dial with Roman numerals and floral spandrals, below a countryside scene including a house and windmill, bordered in brass filigree and surmounted by a pressed brass armorial incorporating two lions, two glazed doors to the sides enclosing the movement, raised on four turned feet, mounted on black painted wooden bracket, with canopy, and sides carved in the form of two stylised female forms.
