Lot Description

Impressive Federal mahogany inlaid sideboard circa 1790

Serpentine front with conforming superstructure mounted with a brass gallery fitted with hooks for drapery, the superstructure is fitted with five simulated small drawer facings, two slide behind the center panel, the case is fitted with three graduated small drawers flanked by two deep bottle drawers, on square tapering legs with blocks below. The superstructure inlaid with four draped urns and two shells, pencil line and dart inlay to base, the conforming case inlaid with leaf panel to tops of legs and bell flowers below.
