Pair of rare and monumental Chinese cloisonne enamel models of standing Fu Lions on stand late qing dynasty
The finely cast copper models are of three parts, comprised of a coiled fan shaped and enameled tail, body with copper head enameled to the chest and shoulders to show a yellow archaic mask on typical light blue ground with a profusion of purple, red and green lotus leaf scrolls, the saddle and harness is modeled with free hanging fruit from pendants and enameled with an impressive ruby red seat detailed to show yellow Indian lotus flowers and scrolls, the saddle flaps show detailed egrets over a scrolling sea, over period wood base.
