Lot Description

Federal inlaid mahogany tambour secretary bookcase boston, ma, circa 1810

In four parts having a shaped cresting with three acorn turned finials, two glazed doors above an inlaid door and two tambour doors, cubby hole and drawer interior, flip top writing surface with ebony and light wood inlaid edge; bottom section with a wide drawer having two line inlaid ovals, slightly smaller center drawer flanked by two vertical drawers, all with oval inlays, all drawers are cock beaded, raised on ring turned and tapering reeded legs, tall turned feet.

H: 86 in. W: 41 in. D: 20 1/4 in.
