Lot Description

Two Continental meerschaum pipes late 19th/early 20th century

One carved to show a semi nude allegorical maiden with an attendant putto, in fitted leather case bearing retailers label "Au Bosphore, Specialite d'Articles pour fumeurs, 4 passage de l'Opera" the other carved to show acanthus scrolls, in fitted leather case; together with three German cigarette holders in original cases, one ivory, two bakelite. (5).

The largest pipe L: 8 in.
