George III silver covered sweatmeat dish london, charles hougham, 1790
Elegant ovoid urn form, the body and lid decorated all over with prick-dots, perhaps to imitate ostrich skin, one side with engraved coat-of-arms incorporating a pair of ostrich feathers, the other with vacant cartouche, raised on oval spread base with gadrooned rim.
