In the Egyptian revivial style, the pull-off lid surmounted by a sphinx, over a body with Greek key band and mounted with birds-head handles, supported by four fluted pilasters headed by lion masks and terminating in hairy paw feet, above shaped base centered by a sphinx raised on ball feet.
