Painted and decorated dower chest possibly northhampton county, pa dated "1798"
The hinged lid decorated with compass stars opens to well with till, the case decorated with circular reserve inscribed "Elizabeth Kniss 1798 .." flanked by floral arrangements in urns, above two drawers, each decorated with landscapes and urn with flowers on a white background, dot filled circles ornament lower case, bracket feet and pendant, the sides decorated with "s" shaped devices.
