Late Classical figured mahogany secretary bookcase bearing label of anthony g. quervelle (1789-1856) philadelphia
In two parts, the upper section with leaf-carved finials enclosed paneled arch above two glazed doors opening to shelves flanked by pilasters of bulbous ring turned form having ionic capitals; the lower section with bolection drawer fitted with writing surface and compartments, with double doors flanked by conforming pilasters below, reeded shaped feet.
