Lot Description

Old Sheffield plate tea caddy late 18th century

The shaped oval cover with a ball knop and beaded edge, over a conforming body with reeded panels, monogrammed 'ML'; with museum inventory numbers.

Note: This lot was part of a group of silver and plated wares given on temporary loan to the Philadelphia Museum of Art in 1920 by Henrietta Meade Large. It was used on display in the Fairmount Park historic houses.
