The serpentine cross-banded top with a marquetry rosette above a serpentine bombe case with two long drawers, the drawers and sides with similar stained marquetry, over a shaped apron and raised on splayed legs terminating in cast foliate sabots.

For a similar example see: Christies, November 2009, lot 408. It's is unusual to find such a commode with its original marquetry top, as many have later marble top and replaced feet.
