Blued metal finish with matte blued receiver, jeweled bolt and extractor, and mounting glass bedded Walnut Monte-Carlo style stock featuring bordered wrap-around checkering on the wrist, and bordered multipoint checkering to the forend. Bolt-action repeating rifle fed by an internal box magazine. Item mounts folding rear notch and fully hooded front bead sights with the receiver drilled and tapped for optics mounting. Markings include the Winchester monogram firing proof to the receiver and barrel with the latter further marked MODEL-70-FEATHERWEIGHT. Magazine floorplate is marked -SUPER GRADE-. Rifle mounts a checkered and blued buttplate with polished flanks, black synthetic forend cap, and a blued semi-pistol grip cap. The serial number range and the presence of the earlier controlled feed extractor indicate this rifle was manufactured in 1957. Serial number is marked into the underside of the bolt.
