Bolt action military rifle with side loading fixed internal magazine. Receiver is marked in a single line: MODEL 1898 SPRINGFIELD ARMORY 103304. No cartouche is visible but a weak "Circle-P" is present behind the triggerguard. Rifle is equipped with the upgraded 1902 long range ladder rear sight, a blade front sight on a tall base, two sling swivels and a stacking swivel. Butt trap is void of implements. A leather sling is included.
