Special Order Winchester Model 1873 with Half Octagon Barrel and Button Magazine
.44-40 WCF. 24" octagonal to round barrel length. SN: 72248 (Mfg. ca.1881). Blued metal finish with case hardened finish to parts. Two piece walnut stock has a plain straight grip and forearm. Special order lever action rifle with adjustable buckhorn rear sight and silver blade front sight. Item features a button half tube magazine and trapdoor buttplate void of contents.
