Lot of Two Smith & Wesson No. 1 Second Issue Revolvers
1) .22RF Short. 3.25" ribbed octagonal barrel. SN: 26066 (mfg. ca. 1862). Blued barrel, silver plated brass frame, two-piece varnished rosewood grips. Single action tip up cartridge revolver with seven shot smooth round cylinder. One line Smith & Wesson barrel address and patent marking, cylinder patent marking illegible. Matching serial number on butt and in right grip panel. Assembly numbers not visible. Left side plate with engraved script initials that appear to be FL or FS.
2) .22RF Short. 3.25" ribbed octagonal barrel. SN: 89793 (mfg. ca. 1866). Blued barrel, silver plated brass frame, two-piece varnished rosewood grips. Single action tip up cartridge revolver with seven shot smooth round cylinder. One line Smith & Wesson barrel address and patent marking, cylinder patent marking partly legible. Matching serial number on butt and in right grip panel. Assembly numbers not visible. Includes an old leather holster.
