**Pre-War Winchester Model 52 Custom Rifle

.22 LR. 28" barrel length. SN: 20074. Blued metal refinish with polished and jeweled bolt mounting case colored scope blocks and custom walnut semi-pistol grip stock with cheek pad to left comb and Schnabel forend. Bolt-action detachable magazine fed repeating rifle mounting aftermarket REDFIELD tunnel front and aperture rear sights. Item features bordered Fleur-de-Lis checkering to the wrist and forend, and checkering to the bolt knob. Item further mounts front and rear sling studs, checkered buttplate with Widow's Peak, and a wide trigger shoe. Manufacturer markings include Winchester monogram proofs to the left receiver and barrel with left barrel additionally showing model marking MODEL 52-WINCHESTER-22 LONG R-/-TRADE MARK-. Right receiver struck PAT. PENDING. Right barrel shows two-line address and patent mark reading MADE IN U.S.A. WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO NEW HAVEN CONN./PATENTED NOV. 11. 18. 25. DEC. 9. 1919. FEB. 17. MAR. 30. APRIL 27. 1920. Date roll mark shows some weakness suggesting item may have been reblued at some point. {C&R}
