Serial numbers match on the frame, slide, and barrel. Faint pen markings to the interior of the left grip panel. Serial number is consistent with the early third military contract, indicating this pistol was manufactured between 1950 and 1951. Item features the safety notch for the hammer, checkered slide stop, and smooth safety lever. The A prefix to the serial number indicates this handgun was produced for military contract. Base of magazine well struck with importer markings from CKC PORIS, OH that inaccurately state its caliber to be 7.62mm. Comes with a correct P49 leather shoulder holster featuring the boxed {Swiss Cross/Wy} stamp above maker marking H. WITTWER/WORB/72.
