[EARLY PHOTOGRAPHY]. 57 sixth and ninth plate ambrotypes and tintypes of men and women.
Sixth plate ruby ambrotype of a woman holding a basket in her lap and having some kind of floral arrangement decorating the table top next to her. She wears a brooch with a striking crucifix shape and an embroidered over shirt or jacket. (Haloing effect to edge, else quite good; unsealed.) Housed in a Union case. -- Sixth plate tintype portrait of a young lady with long, wavy hair sitting in an early tricycle chair before a painted cloth backdrop. (Some dust particles and minor imperfections, spotting to mat; unsealed.) Housed in a leatherette case. -- Sixth plate tintype vignetted bust portrait of a woman with a blue-tinted ribbon neck ribbon. (Haloing effect to edges, some scratching, minor spotting; unsealed.) Housed in a half pressed paper case. -- Sixth plate ruby ambrotype portrait of a very elderly woman wearing a ruffled bonnet and holding a handkerchief in her hands. (Image somewhat dark but facial details very crisp; unsealed.) Housed in a fully separated leatherette case. -- And 53 others, including 47 sixth plate images and 6 ninth plate images. Some without cases or cover glass. Conditions vary. -- Together, 57 assorted ambrotypes and tintypes of men and women.
