[EARLY PHOTOGRAPHY]. 11 daguerreotype and ambrotype portraits of pairs and trios of sitters.
Half plate daguerreotype portrait of two women, likely a mother and daughter, each with hair worn partly down in curls. The mother appears to hold a small cased image open in front of her. (Light tarnishing to edges, spotting and few surface scratches throughout, spotting to mat and preserver; resealed.) Housed in a leatherette case. Mat stamped for G. L. WILLIAMS. -- Quarter plate daguerreotype portrait of a finely dressed couple, the woman with her hair worn in curled locks. (Tarnishing to edges, spotting, scratching; resealed.) Housed in a pressed paper case. Mat stamped for C. H. WILLIAMSON. -- Sixth plate ruby ambrotype portrait of 3 females, appearing to be a daughter standing behind her mother and grandmother. The grandmother wears a bonnet and glasses, while also holding a pair of glasses in her lap. (Some dust specs and spotting; unsealed.) Housed in a pressed paper case. -- And 8 others including one quarter plate daguerreotype and 7 sixth plate daguerreotypes. Many housed in a half and separated cases. Conditions vary. -- Together, 11 cased images.
