Daguerreotype of an engraved portrait of Daniel Webster. (Minor spotting to plate, spotting to mat and preserver; resealed.) Housed under mat, glass, and preserver only; no case.
Plate verso bears inscription, reading, in part: "Daniel Webs[ter] / marshfield."
The engraving featured here could be after a ca 1847 daguerreotype by John Adams Whipple, as there are many similarities in details from that portrait to this one.
