22 pinback buttons, approx. 4 in. diameter and smaller, including: 5 buttons featuring portraits of African American jockeys Willie Simms (2), Anthony Hamilton, Fred Taral, and Blake. -- 2 buttons featuring portrait of Buddy Young, professional football player. -- 3 buttons featuring portraits of baseball players, including Don Newcombe, Joe Black, and Jackie Robinson. -- 2 buttons related to boxer Jack Johnson and his fight against Jim Jeffries with slogans "I Can Lick Johnson" and "Well, I Guess Not, White Hope." -- High Admiral Cigarette button featuring portrait of African American boxer, possibly Bob Armstrong, with the slogan, "Don't Bother Me." -- 3 buttons featuring portraits of boxers Ezzard Charles, Jersey Joe Walcott, and Sonny Liston. -- 3 buttons related to boxer Joe Louis, including example advertising the Joe Louis Milk Co. -- 3 buttons featuring Muhammad Ali, 2 of which feature promotions for upcoming fights including "Ali vs. Wepner," and "Holmes vs. Ali."
