Lot Description
Lady's 14 karat yellow gold and steel Oyster Perpetual wristwatch, Rolex 1940s
Early American made self-winding movement with circular 14 karat yellow gold bezel on steel case. Black enamel face displaying dash dial with magnified cyclops date window. Officially certified chronometer movement, with steel screw down back. Accompanied by original 14 karat yellow gold Oyster flexible link bracelet. Please note: Early American made Rolex watches were fit made to order by certified jewelers. Buyers were allowed to choose their face color, bezel metal, case metal and bracelet metal. Also, while Rolex is known today for their use of 18 karat yellow gold, the early American versions used 14 karat yellow gold.
