George II black japanned and silvered wood chest-on-stand mid 18th century, the stand later
In two parts; the upper japanned chest with a pair of cupboard doors opening to an arrangement of drawers; the silvered wood stand with a molded foliate edge above a wide pierced frieze carved with birds and c-scrolls supported by semi-clad female terms and ending in leaf clad scroll feet.
