** Type 38 Arisaka Rifle with Intact Mum
World War II

6.5x50mm. 31.4" barrel length. SN: 92111. Blued metal finish with polished bolt set in a refinished semi-pistol grip stock with half length upper handguard and splice toe. Bolt action cock on close repeating rifle fed by an internal box magazine. Item mounts an adjustable rear ladder notch and partially hooded Barleycorn front blade sight. Receiver retains an intact {Imperial Japanese Chrysanthemum} along with the Kanji markings for Type 38. Left receiver displays the stacked cannonball symbol of the {Koshikawa Arsenal}. Serial numbers do not match. Item comes without cleaning rod or dustcover.
