Short recoil operated DA/SA autoloading pistol fed by detachable single stack magazines. Standard make and model markings including the MODEL 39 mark below the serial number. Comes in its original blue cardboard box with three magazines, the owner's manual with inserts, and an aluminum cleaning rod with copper bore brush in plastic package. Item falls within the known range of the first steel frame guns to ship. Though the first Model 39 pistols sold had alloy frames, the steel frames were produced first, but were not completed and sent off for sale until 1966.
