Polish Mosin-Nagant M44
Cold War
7.62x54mmR. 20.2" barrel length. SN: AB20338. Blued metal finish with polished bolt set in a straight wrist wood stock with side folding cruciform spike bayonet mounting standard adjustable rear notch and fully hooded front post sights. Bolt action repeating rifle fed by an internal box magazine accompanied by canvas sling and steel cleaning rod. Top of the receiver shows the circled 11 marking indicating it was manufactured in the Radom Munitions Factory followed by a date marking of 1953. Serial numbers match on the receiver, bolt, and magazine floorplate, but the buttplate number does not match. Item shows scattered arsenal markings including H and MO within diamonds on the right stock, and further diamond stamps on the metal components. Sling is stamped with U3 within a diamond beside a further faint and illegible stamp.
