*G.R.I. No 1 MK III* Rifle Sporterized with Scope
World War II
.303. 25.2" barrel length. SN: 241411. Blued metal finish overall set in a walnut two-piece stock mounting front blade and aperture rear sights with protectors. Bolt-action repeating rifle fed by a semi-detachable ten-shot magazine and featuring a cock on close action. Right side of the stock socket is marked {Crown}/G.R.I./1944/No.1.MkIII*. Rifle displays scattered {Broad Arrow} markings and a matching serial number to the bolt. Stock serial number does not match. Rifle has been fitted with an aftermarket Weaver scope rail mounting a 4X30 telescopic sight with turret protectors and lens caps, and no visible manufacturer mark. Comes with a blade bayonet with leather scabbard featuring G.R.I/MKII marking and standard British manufacture markings.
