[Collins, Wilkie.] The Woman In White. In All The Year Round. A Weekly Journal Conducted by Charles Dickens. [London]: November 26, 1859 - August 25, 1860, nos. 31-70. First appearance. 8vo, orig. self wrappers; scattered light foxing, occasionally light edge wear, 1 issue with inkmarks on self wrapper. Loose as issued, generally crisp and attractive. Dicken's A Tale of Two Cities was the first novel to be serialized in All The Year Round, at its conclusion Dickens agreed next to carry The Woman In White, the November 26, 1859 (no. 31) carries both the last installment of A Tale of Two Cities and the first installment of The Women In White. The novel was simultaneously serialized in Harper's Weekly in America. The first book form editions were issued in New York & London in August, 1860.
Scarce in the original issues, loose as issued.
