Second edition. Folio, orig. gilt-lettered & pictorial tan cloth, morocco spine & corners, rebacked orig. spine laid down; scuffed, corners rubbed, slightly dust soiled, minor dampstaining. With engraved vignette title, 60 single & double-page hand colored maps (32 double-page). Some dampstaining at foot of front matter, incl. vignette & printed titles, insect damage in top edge margins of two maps, fore-edge margins of Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Delaware, & Washington D.C. maps repaired with tissue paper, North & South Carolina map repaired & remounted. Lacking front fly, endpapers chipped.
