American silver cake basket harvey lewis, philadelphia, circa 1815
Having a pierced shell and 'wing' swing handle with owner's initials 'MSR', wide pierced rim with beaded outer edge, heavily chased with rosettes, shells and leaves and a narrow 'thread and shell' inner edge, a thin leaf chased midband with machined and plain circular foot, stamped twice on base.
