Two Chinese Green Glazed Pottery Covered Tripod Incense Burners
Han Dynasty (202 B.C.–220 A.D.)
the first a 'hill' censer and cover, the cylindrical vessel raised on three kneeling bear-form supports and molded with concentric rings, the cover molded in high relief with tall mountains; the second another cylindrical censer resting on three legs in the shape of seated beasts, the exterior molded in relief showing dragons and further animal figures.
Height of taller 10 3/4 in., 27.3 cm.
