Lot Description

Very rare Chinese cinnabar lacquered yixing teapot qianlong period

Of tapering cylindrical form, straight spout and arched handle, circular cover surmounted with foliate carved handle cross-hatched ground, ruyi band to base, high relief carved lotus scrolls to spout and handle continuing to body, with two medallions of boys at play, petal band base, all on a yixing pottery base and cover.

H: 4 3/4 L: 8 1/2 in.
