Lot Description

Fine and large pair of Chinese enamel, applied and gilt-metal table screens on stands 19th century

Circular gilt-metal Roman-key and lotus scroll framed screens, applied with various colored stones and jadeite on a highly unusual wireless enamel ground of blue and graduating light green/yellow, screens depict quail, Fu-bats, floral sprigs, buffalo and foliate vases, both over highly detailed hardwood stands, worked to show a central panel of rock work and peony flanked by Fu bats over double plinth lattice and scroll carved bases, raised on bracket feet, in very good overall condition.
