A Liverpool Transfer-Printed Creamware 'Memory of George Washington and the Proscribed Patriots of America' Pitcher with Polychrome Embellishment
English, Circa 1804

one side with monument initialed G.W. and vignette portraits of Samuel Adams and John Hancock, identified with initials and with text reading, Columbias Sons inspir'd by Freedoms Flame / Live in the Annals of immortal Fame; the opposite with three-masted sailing ship flying a fourteen-star American flag.
with colorful heraldic eagle Seal of the United States and quote by Thomas Jefferson in surround reading, Peace, Commerce, and Honest Friendship with all Nations - Entangling Alliances with None - Jefferson / Anno Domini 1804 beneath the spout.
Height 10 inches.
