2 1/4 x 3 1/2 in. CDV on cardstock mount featuring vignetted bust portrait of General Granger (light soiling).
General Granger (1821-1876) is best known today for issuing General Orders No. 3, conveying the enactment of the Emancipation Proclamation to enslaved persons in Galveston, TX on 19 June 1865 (now celebrated as Juneteenth).
