Lot Description

Empire ormolu and patinated bronze mantel clock circa 1815

The ormolu chapter ring with Roman numerals set within a drum shaped case stamped Godet and incorporated in a trophy emblematic of war featuring a plumed helmet, spears, arrow filled quiver and swords, a recumbent lion below, all raised on a stepped rectangular pedestal cast with a frieze of a winged infant in battle, upon leafy scrolled feet.
