Lot Description

Meissen porcelain Bacchanalian figure group late 19th century, after f.e. meyer, reworked by f.e. leuteritz

Modeled as a drunken Silenius seated on an ass and supported by Bacchus, while a seated bacchante holds aloft a cluster of grapes and a cupid pulls the ass's tail, blue underglazed crossed swords mark and incised 2724.
