Transitional tulipwood, stained fruitwood and amaranth marble top commode circa 1770, stamped 'stumpf, jme'
The marble top of breakfront outline above two drawers with quarter veneered reserves, the side panels veneered to match, raised on slightly hipped cabriole legs headed by chutes and ending in sabots. NOTE: JS Stumpf maitre in 1766.
