Further markings include Smith & Wesson monogram trademark to the sideplate, four-line address on the frame, SMITH & WESSON to the left barrel and 38 S.&W. SPECIAL CTG. to the right. The lower left frame has been stamped U.S. Assembly number 46128 appears on the internal frame, and further marks include S initial to the underside of the barrel and inner frame, and K on the rear cylinder.
