Lot Description
**East German Makarov
9x18mm. 3.68" barrel length. SN: BT1236. Blued metal finish overall with textured black plastic thumb rest grips and mounting standard military pattern sights. DA/SA simple blowback operated autoloading pistol fed by detachable single stack magazines. The handgun shows the standard East German boxed K100 inspection marking and {Circle within Diamond} proof mark on the left frame. The latter mark is also applied to the left side of the barrel at the breech and the lefts slide behind the safety/decocker. A date mark of 62 for 1962 appears on the rear frame above an a stamp, and the serial numbers match on the slide and frame. Last two digits of the serial number appear on internal components. Both the left side of the triggerguard and left frame are numbered 9278. The underside of the frame has a hand painted white 82, possibly a rank number. Right frame shows an importer mark just below the cocking serrations on the slide reading Makarov 9X18 Germany/C.D.I. Swan. VT. Item comes with one magazine showing serial number 5495 marked in electropencil.
