Double action hand ejector six-shot revolver featuring topstrap notch and front blade sights. The butt is marked U.S./ARMY/MODEL/1917 followed by the serial number, with further marking to the underside of the barrel reading UNITED STATES PROPERTY along with the assembly number of 1845. Assembly numbers match on the frame, crane, and barrel, with the cylinder numbered 8203 beneath the star extractor. A further {Eagle/S20} government inspection mark is visible on the upper left frame. Colt markings include the {Rampant Colt} logo to the sideplate, COLT D.A. 45 mark on the left barrel, and the two-line address and patent mark on top of the barrel. Grips are unmarked.
