The toggle link features a number code 42 indicating it was manufactured by the Mauser factory, and additionally shows a date marking of 1939. Bore gauge reading beneath the barrel is struck 8,81. Barrel, breechblock, and slide are both struck with the {WWII German Eagle} acceptance proof. The {Eagle/63} Waffenampt marking is struck into the right slide in two places with the same struck into the base plugs of both magazines.
