Lot Description

Japanese Imari porcelain fish bowl meiji period (1868-1912)

Signed 'Fukugawa', flattened globular shape decorated in underglaze blue with peony blossoms against an iron-red ground with gilt highlights, the sides with reserves showing carp, bamboo, mums, and a scholar, the interior painted with a large figure of carp.

H: 7 3/4, diam: 13 1/4 in.
